The two main causes of insomnia:
Sleep apnea is a serious sleep disorder characterized by repeated stopping and resumption of breathing. People suffering from this disorder often experience a lack of energy during the day, fatigue and poor coordination. These temporary pauses in breathing cause poor sleep quality and affect airflow to the lungs, which can lead to serious health consequences over time.
Sleep apnea is among the most common chronic diseases, and it can affect both adults and children. It is more common in men.
Insomnia
Insomnia is another common sleep disorder. It is characterised by sufferers having difficulty falling asleep, being unable to sleep for long periods of time, or waking up too early in the morning without being able to return to sleep again. Insomnia can deplete not only your energy and mood, but also have an adverse effect on your health and quality of life. Many people go through short periods of insomnia that can last several weeks. This is usually the result of stress or some traumatic event. However, there are people who suffer from persistent insomnia for months and even longer - then you need to be examined by a doctor.
