The difference between a CO2 fraxel laser and a regular CO2 laser ?
Standard CO2 lasers irradiate and "damage" the entire surface of the skin in the treated area, which traumatizes it more and leads to a significant increase in recovery time.
In contrast, the fraxel CO2 laser performs controlled "damage" only at specific locations in the skin, i.e. treats the corresponding location "staggered", alternating healthy and unaffected tissue with treated one. In this way, all "damaged" areas are surrounded by healthy tissue, which very quickly begins to replace the affected areas with new and vibrant skin tissue without flaws. The result is a much faster recovery and minimal side effects.
