Prof. dr. Branimir Kanazirev, PhD
Physician, Doctor of Medicine, specialist in internal medicine and cardiology, lecturer, professor and long-time head of the Department of Internal Medicine. In his many years of experience prof. Kanazirev has held numerous specializations in echocardiography, invasive cardiology. In 1994 he conducted a specialization in Medical Center -Albany under prof. Х. Sousa and prof. Braceblatt, USA in interventional cardiology. He has also done specialization related to transesophageal echocardiography and stress echocardiography under Prof. Christian Seiler, specialization in computed tomographic coronary arteriography.
Prof. Kanazirev trains students and doctors and develops problems related to left ventricular function of the heart in hyper- and hypothyroidism; right ventricular function in COPD, left ventricular function in cancer patients. He has implemented cardiological techniques in the field of invasive and non-invasive cardiology and echocardiography. He has authored numerous publications in a number of prestigious forums and journals.
