Prof. Mira Siderova is a specialist in endocrinology and metabolic diseases. She is actively engaged in medical treatment and teaching of medical students, post-graduate and PhD students in endocrinology.

In 2008 and 2018 she carried out specializations in university hospitals in Bari and Rome, Italy as part of the international Erasmus program. In 2011 he obtained a specialty in endocrinology and metabolic diseases. In 2013 she defended her dissertation on "Immunohistochemical markers and ultrasound elastography - new diagnostic possibilities in the specification of thyroid nodules".

Prof. Siderova is certified in the methods of cervical ultrasonography, fine needle biopsy of the thyroid gland, parathyroid lesions and cervical lymph nodes, osteodensitometry. She developed the technique of ultrasound elastography in thyroidology, for which she was awarded at the 50th Anniversary Congress of the Bulgarian Society of Endocrinology in 2015. She is the author of a number of scientific publications in Bulgarian and foreign journals, member of the European Thyroid Association (ETA), International Osteoporosis Federation (IDF), Bulgarian Society of Endocrinology (BDE), Union of Scientists in Bulgaria, etc.

Prof. Siderova performs examinations of patients with thyroid and parathyroid diseases, osteoporosis, hormonal and metabolic abnormalities, obesity, diabetes mellitus, endocrine disorders during pregnancy.
